Do you think that Holy Cross School would be better sited elsewhere? I thought that they were going to close it down because the numbers were dropping.

Definitely not. It is the church school and should be close to the Church.
It is Tescos that should be sited elsewhere!
If it wants to be bigger then it should re-locate out of town.
We need more consumer choice. Not less!

I might not be a bad thing to relocate Holy Cross to another location.
If a housing development was built at Downland Farm locate a new school there.
But it would be a bad idea to relocate the school just to alow Tesco to expand. The land could create a lovely massive park in the centre of town.

I agree with localresident - why should the school move ? Tescos should move. The school and church are very closely connected. School numbers may be down at the moment but when you build thousands of houses you need schools. What is more important our childrens education or a tesco monopoly? Also remember the school field is used by the community for sports and carnival fireworks. I guess Tescos will be doing the freworks display from their roof in future spelling out all their BOGOF offers in the sky for us all to see.
